WESTERVILLE, Ohio (February 10, 2024) – The Denison University men's track & field team traveled to Otterbein University on the afternoon of Saturday, February 10, to compete at the 2024 All-Ohio Indoor Track & Field Championships and placed seventh out of 13 teams with 52 points.
Ari Skolnik picked up the win and improved his own school record in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 8.12 seconds in the finals while Denison's other win came from
Worth Hinshaw with a personal record time of 8:49.84 in the 3,000 meter run.
In the 60 meter dash finals,
Jaylin Epps finished second at 6.94 seconds, just .01 seconds behind his own school record in the event set last year. Right behind Epps in third place was Skolnik with his second personal record of the meet at 6.99 seconds, which is tied for the second-fastest PR in the event in program history.
Chris Slater finished second in the weight throw for the second year in a row at the All-Ohio Championships, this time throwing 16.90 meters (55' 5").
Lastly, the Big Red 4x400 meter relay team of
Pierce Patterson,
Liam Quinlan,
Jason Rideout and
Leo Wisnefski was sixth at 3:34.93 while the 4x200 meter relay team of Patterson, Quinlan, Rideout and
Jack Meyerowitz was seventh at 1:34.15.
