DANVILLE, Ky. (April 1, 2023) – Denison University men's track & field traveled to Danville, Kentucky, on Saturday and placed fourth overall at the Centre Invite. Totaling 70.50 points and six finishes in the top-three, the Big Red finished behind only Berry (85 points) in third, Cedarville (100) in second and Centre (124) in first place.
Denison also finished ahead of Lindsey Wilson in fifth place with 69 points while fellow North Coast Athletic Conference schools Wittenberg (37) and Ohio Wesleyan (24) finished in sixth place and tied for eighth place, respectively.
Andrew D'Asaro picked up the win in the javelin with a throw of 54.88 meters.
Denison finished third through fifth in the long jump as
Angelo Ricci was third with a personal record of 6.78 meters,
Jack Blais was fourth also with a personal record of 6.76 meters, and
Tyler Miller was fifth at 6.48 meters.
Miller also added a fifth-place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.85 meters.
Collin Hill was sixth in the shot put with a personal record of 14.52 meters and
Isaiah Kessler was sixth in the pole vault also with a personal record at 4.10 meters.
Denison earned two third-place finishes on the track as
Nathan Hydukovich ran a time of 50.40 seconds in the 400 meter dash and
Ari Skolnik finished with a time of 15.54 seconds in the 110 meter hurdles.
Jacob Brown was eighth in the 110 meter hurdles behind Skolnik with a time of 16.29 seconds.
Denison also finished in third place in both relay races as Skolnik,
Jaylin Epps, Hydukovich and
Malik Holley finished with a time of 42.98 seconds in the 4x100 and Holley, Hydukovich,
Daniel DeSantis and Kessler finished at 3:31.93 in the 4x400.
Oliver DiCerbo was fifth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at 10:15.66 and
Noah Cyr was fifth in the 5,000 meter run at 15:43.39.
In the sprinting events, Epps was sixth in the 100 meter dash at 11.12 seconds while in the 200 meter dash, Holley was eighth at 23.06 seconds and Epps was ninth at 23.14 seconds.
