GENEVA, Ohio (May 26, 2022) – Denison University's Gabe Springer ended the 2022 season at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Springer completed his junior campaign with a throw of 39.38 meters (129-02) to finish in 20th place in the discus competition at the national meet hosted at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Springer qualified for the NCAA Meet at the Mount Union Last Chance in Alliance, Ohio, when he reached a school record distance of 50.34 meters (165' 2") to break the previous Denison record of 48.8 meters (157' 9") set by Arthur Morrow in 1965.

The men's discus national championship went to Carroll's Steven Hermsen with a top mark of 54.93 meters (180-02).
