LEXINGTON, Ky. (February 26, 2022) – The No. 21 Denison University men's tennis team played away from the friendly confines of the Mitchell Fieldhouse for the first time during its current 2022 season on Saturday, but in the end, the location did not matter as the Big Red earned a 9-0 sweep over No. 22 Sewanee in a matchup between two top-25 ranked teams in NCAA Division III.

Singles
- Cianciola won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles to improve to 3-0, and then Milan Gonela was victorious 6-1, 6-4 in the No. 6 spot to clinch the win.
- Bulger won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles to improve to 4-0.
- The Big Red pulled out the sweep without dropping a single set, but it took a tiebreaker win for Ryan Patrick at No. 5 singles to win it 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.
- Mackler won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4 singles, and then Harms won 6-3, 6-2 in the two hole to also improve to 4-0 on the season.
Records:
- No. 21 Denison improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 against nationally-ranked teams in NCAA Division III while No. 22 Sewanee, which was coming off a 6-3 win over No. 10 Southwestern, fell to 1-4.
Next Up: Denison returns home to battle Hope College at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, before playing its first true road match of the season at No. 20 Kalamazoo College the next day on Sunday, March 6.
