GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison and Case Western Reserve played an exhibition half of football at Piper Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Big Red prevailed in the abbreviated exhibition contest, 14-6.
- Case opened the game with a 40-yard pass to Colt Morgan putting them deep in Denison territory.
- On first down from the Denison 5-yard line, Case Western fumbled the snap and it was recovered by Ryan Hallinan.
- CWRU scored the first points of the game on a 20-yard field goal by Brett Callow
- Denison took the lead on a 6-yard TD run by Andrew Blanchard set up by a 60-yard kickoff return by Hunter Biddle.
- On Case's next possession, a pass break-up in the end zone by Jailen Pierre forced a 32-yard field goal by Callow to make it a 7-6 contest.
- Denison responded with the play of the game. After a big fourth down conversion by Trey Fabrocini, Drew Dawkins went up top to Biddle for a 63-yard touchdown pass to put DU on top, 14-6 with 5:16 left in the second quarter.
- Case had one last possession in the half but was forced to punt.
