GRANVILLE, Ohio--  Denison and Ohio Wesleyan gathered at Piper Stadium in Granville for likely the final time in 2020 on Friday night.  Denison came away with a 20-5 win but more importantly, Denison and Ohio Wesleyan's seniors got one last opportunity to compete as a college athlete.

The game, which was originally scheduled to take place in late March came together quickly before the two teams were forced to leave their respective campus until at least April 6 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Denison got three goals and one assist from Liza Farnham and three goals from Kiely Noonan to lead the scoring attack.  Thirteen different players scored at least one goal.  Casey McTague logged three caused turnovers, three ground balls, three draw controls, and one goal.  Leander Perun tallied two goals while Ryann Yospa posted two goals and one assist.  Late in the game, senior Paris Healey got in the act, as the defender scored her third career goal and the first goal of the season.

Ohio Wesleyan was led in scoring by Megan McElgunn's three goals and Sloane Baumgartner's two goals.  Maeve Caldwell played the first half in goal for Denison and finished with three saves. Caroline O'Dea played the second half and tallied two saves.  Eight of Denison's 20 goals came in free-position situations.

Denison's season is put on hold indefinitely with a record of 2-3 with all three losses coming against nationally-ranked opponents.

Prior to the game, Denison recognized its senior class: Carlie Grandjean, Graham McIntosh, Leander Perun, Catie Mulligan, Paris Healey, and Kiely Noonan.  The group never lost a conference game and finished with 50 victories, three NCAC Tournament titles, three NCAC championships and three trips to the NCAA Tournament.
