Northborough, Mass.- For the third consecutive year, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) named Denison's Women's Lacrosse head coach Amanda Daniels and her coaching staff, Tori Vernau, Maddie Morrell, and Katherine Yarusso, as the IWLCA 2026 Division III Great Lakes Region Coaching Staff of the Year.

This is the sixth time since 2016 that the Big Red staff has earned the IWLCA Great Lakes Region Coaching Staff of the Year (2016, 2019, 2021, 2024, 2025, 2026).

?The 2026 Denison women's lacrosse team wrapped its season with a program-best 19 wins and two losses, after the coaching staff led the Big Red to its fourth straight North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) tournament title and 11th overall. Earning its 28th NCAA tournament at-large bid, Denison found their way back to the Sweet Sixteen, where they fell to Christopher Newport University in a come-from-behind 11-10 loss.

?The Big Red claimed four of the major NCAC awards and had eight players earn All-Conference honors. Denison wrapped the 2026 campaign No. 9 overall after sitting in the top ten for 10 of the 12 Coaches Polls. Six players were named to the IWLCA All-Region Teams, and three earned All-American awards after the season wrapped. The Big Red finished the 2026 season with an overall record of 19-2, and were undefeated in conference play with a 7-0 record.

?Across her 13 years and 12 full seasons as Denison women's lacrosse head coach, Daniels has led the Big Red to 12 consecutive NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, eight NCAC Championships, 10 NCAC Tournament titles, and a Final Four Appearance in 2021. While at Denison, Daniels has amassed an overall record of 172-65 (.738 pct) while boasting a 79-6 (.929 pct.) in conference play. This year, she also tallied her 200th career win as a collegiate head coach.
