NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Highlighted by a pair of top-five finishes, Denison men's track & field closed out the final day of competition on Thursday at the 2019 Gregory Invitational hosted at North Central College in Naperville, Ill.

Leading the Big Red in the javelin throw, freshman Esteban Sainz posted a third-place finish in the event with a final distance of 188'10" (57.56 meters). In the long jump, junior James Dixie placed fifth overall at 20'7.75" (6.29 meters).

On the track, junior Ben Foster headlined DU in the 1,500-meter run where he placed 20th overall after clocking in at 4:02.61.

The Big Red rounded out the 2019 outdoor season with a trio of top-three finishes, including a dual meet victory against Wooster on April 10.
