Box Score GREENCASTLE, Ind.—Denison tallied a pair of second half goals on Saturday at DePauw and that was enough to blank the Tigers, 2-0 at Reavis Stadium. The win extends Denison's winning streak to seven games.
Denison outshot DePauw 8-5 in the first half but four saves by Tiger goalie Hannah Metzger was enough to keep the score tied at 0-0.
In the second half, Ali Gakenheimer inserted a penalty corner to Jen Durbin. Durbin controlled the ball and found Gakenheimer who was open in front of the cage. With 30 minutes left in the contest, Denison had a 1-0 lead.
That's the way the score would stay until the 63rd minute when Abby Scully scored for the first time this season on an unassisted goal, lifting Denison to a 2-0 advantage.
