COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has released its 2025 Division III All-Region teams, and two Big Red have landed on the second team. Juniors Tabitha Chandler and Emma Gebhart both earned their second consecutive all-region honors after having an exceptional season on both ends of the field. They led Denison to a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
Emma Gebhart ( Attack | Jr. | Carlisle, Mass.) - Gebhart makes it the second-straight season earning second-team All-Region honors. The NCAC Player of the Year helped propel a Big Red offense to 60 goals and 3.16 goals per game, both leading the conference. Gebhart finished her junior season leading the NCAC in goals (22), assists (9), and points (53). She had five multi-goal games, including two games of scoring five goals. Of their 19 games, the Denison offense scored 3+ goals in nine of them, with Gebhart netting at least one goal in all of them. She currently ranks third in Denison history for points in a career (107) and goals in a career (46).
Tabitha Chandler ( Midfielder | Jr. | Washington, D.C. ) - The junior midfielder finds herself on second-team all-region for the second time in her career. Chandler helped guide a Big Red defense to eight shutouts, allowing only three goals in conference play and 0.33 goals per game, both ranking second in the NCAC. The NCAC Defensive Player of the Year helped Denison have seven games of four shots on target or less, and two games where an opponent did not get a single shot off. Chandler also dished off an assist as well to add on to her spectacular season.
The Big Red finished their season 12-7 with a share of the NCAC Regular Season Championship and won the NCAC Tournament Championship for the second time in three years.
