Box Score DELAWARE, Ohio— Three second half goals erased a 1-0 deficit as Denison rallied for a 3-1 victory over Ohio Wesleyan at Selby Stadium.
Ohio Wesleyan's Ashley Barno broke the scoreless tie with three minutes left in the first half when she re-directed a penalty corner pass from Paige Haenig.
Denison's Abby Martone provided the equalizer nine minutes into the second half and eight minutes later, Jen Durbin centered a pass to Lucy Pearsall who scored her sixth goal of the season.
The final goal came in the 59th minute when Pearsall sent an outlet pass to Charlotte Happel who scored in transition.
Denison outshot Ohio Wesleyan 18-4 and out cornered the Battling Bishops 13-2. Ohio Wesleyan goalie, Jackie Feliciano finished with three saves while Gabi Coty and Haenig both tallied defensive saves. Denison goalie Ellen Westfall notched one save, late in the first half.
The Big Red improve to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Ohio Wesleyan drops to 3-3 and 1-2 in conference play. Denison continues its five-game road swing with a weekend trip to Indiana where they will face Earlham on Friday, Sept. 23 and DePauw on Sept. 24.
