Denison suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday, falling 14-6 at Brockport State's Bob Boozer Field in Brockport, N.Y.

The Big Red took a 2-1 lead midway into the first half thanks to goals from Carol Allen and Colleen Muldoon.  The Golden Eagles would show off their high-powered offense by scoring 11 of the next 12 goals in the game.  That would put them up 12-3 with 23 minutes to play in the second half. 

Denison would get goals from Claudia Rafi, Lizzy Pellicane and Claire Ludlow but that wouldn't be enough to mount a comeback.

Brockport's Ciara McKeon finished with six draw controls while Keely Rice, Kelly Wall and Hailey Boronczyk all posted three goals apiece.

Denison was led in scoring by Pellicane who finished with one goal and two assists.  Ludlow followed with one goal, one assist and three draws controlled.

Becca Jones got the start and played the first half in goal for DU. She posted nine saves in her 30 minutes of action.  Hannah Magarian played the second half and finished with 11 saves while letting in six tallies.  Brockport's Sara Shaddock posted seven saves while playing all 60 minutes.

The Big Red will return to action on Sunday, March 6 when they take on No. 19 Fredonia at 1  p.m in a rematch of last year's NCAA Division III Tournament first round matchup in Fredonia, N.Y.
