Box Score Denison's seven-game winning streak came to an end on Sunday at the hands of No. 16 DePauw. The Tigers scored twice in the first half and added two more in the second to complete the 4-0 victory.
Denison entered the game in a tie for first-place in the North Coast Athletic Conference standings with Kenyon College at 8-1. The loss drops them into second-place in the conference, one half game in front of DePauw.
Four different players accounted for DePauw's scoring as Paige Berliner and Addie Ball knocked in their first two goals of the game. In the second half, Paige Henry and Grace Fisher provided some insurance for the home team.
Denison was outshot 18-9 but the penalty corners were nearly even, with DePauw edging the Big Red, 11-10.
Audrey Miller-Foreman finished with six saves and fullback Kirsten Audette posted one defensive save.
Denison's record dips to 8-4 overall and 8-2 in the conference. DePauw improves to 11-2 and 7-2 in league play. DU returns to action on Thursday when they travel to Ohio Wesleyan for a noon start.
