Denison takes fourth at Strimer Memorial

The Denison University men's golf team fired a 325 on the final day of the Strimer Memorial Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.  The Big Red finished fourth after edging Columbus State by one stroke.

Aaron Klimchuk followed up his career-low tying 74 with a second-round 76.  The freshman finished in a tie for fifth place with Ben Tuttle of Columbus State.  Following Klimchuk were Sam Kaiser and Jeff Maier who tied for 17th after firing a pair of 163s.  Rounding out the DU scoring was first-year Dylan Lee.  Lee finished in a tie for 22nd with 165 strokes (77-88).

Adrian (604) edged out Ohio Wesleyan (605) by one stroke for the team title.  The Bulldogs' Mac Boucher earned medalist honors after firing a 144 (69-75).

Denison returns to action on April 23 when they open up play at the Wooster Invitational.  The two-day event is the first of two North Coast Athletic Conference Championship Series events.
