Christy Smith scored seven goals to lead Redlands to a 19-9 victory over the Denison Big Red from Redlands, Calif.  The loss sends Denison back to Granville with a 3-2 record while Redlands improves to 8-0.

Early in the first half Denison trimmed the Bulldog lead to 3-2 after goals by Lanning McDonald and Molly Cornbrooks.  That would spark a 6-0 run by Redlands which opened up a 9-2 lead for the home team.

In the second half first-year Katherine Palms would score twice and Jenny Strathern added her second goal but it wouldn't be enough to spark a run at the Bulldogs.  Redlands outshot DU 34-24 and both squads finished with 21 ground balls. 

Carly Tschantz paced the Big Red with four ground balls and three draw controls.  She also had three caused turnovers.

Denison will return to action on Saturday (March 26) when they take on Colorado College in Sewanee, Tenn.
