The Denison men's golf team fired a 643 at the Ohio Wesleyan University Fall Intercollegiate at Oakhaven Golf Club on Tuesday. The Big Red finished tied for fourth at the 36-hole tournament in Delaware, Ohio.
Sophomore Sam Kaiser (Zionsville, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit Prepatory) carded a 158 (77-81), which landed him in 11th place. Senior Kyle Bates (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) finished tied for 17th after turning in a 160 (78-82), while freshman Dylan Lee (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) shot a 166 (86-80) to garner a tie for 22nd place. Rounding out the DU scoring was first-year Andrew Smith (Oakland, Calif./Head-Royce School), who fired a 164 (80-84) to finish in a tie for 30th.
The Big Red will return to action when they compete in the Kenyon Fall Invitational on Sept. 25-26.
