New day, same finish for the Big Red.

For the second straight day, Denison freshman Brooke Donovan (Westport, Conn./Staples) provided the game-winning goal in double overtime off an assist from Kristen Schneider (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington), this time stopping the DePauw Tigers, 1-0 from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky.

Denison and DePauw battled through just over 98 minutes of play before Donovan sent her team to their fifth victory of the season.

DU goalie Brittany Benson (Willmette, Ill./New Trier) turned in another fine outing in the cage for the Big Red.  She recorded nine saves for Denison while facing 13 shots from the Tigers.

Denison attempted 10 shots in the game with seven of those resulting in a save by DePauw netminder Liz Atwell.

The win improves Denison's record 5-3 overall.  They will close out their weekend trip with a match against NCAA Division II opponent, Bellarmine, on Sunday at 2 p.m.
