Big Red Compete in Otterbein Twilight

Westerville, Ohio - Select members of the Denison women's track and field team competed at the Otterbein Twilight Invitational, with a majority competing in the distance events. Numerous Big Red placed in the top-25 in their respective events in a field that ranged from Division II to NAIA programs.

Serafina Lavallee capped her late-night run with a 12th place finish in the fast section of the 5,000-meter run, running for a time of 20:02.68. First-year Shaylee Murdough clocked in a time of 1:01.22 in the 400-meter dash for a top-20 finish. Junior Aly Marshall was the highest finisher of the Big Red in the 1-mile run, placing 19th with a time of 5:53.72. Sophomores Ava Burson (23rd, 6:06.55) and Lauren Perretta (25th, 6:10.41) also competed in the event. First-year Amelia Anderson completed a top-25 finish in the 800-meter run, coming in at 23rd with a time of 2:25.97. Sophomore Floralysse Biteau clocked in a time of 18:58.94 in the 5,000-meter run, good for 19th place.

Denison continues this weekend at the Duane Gomez Invitational hosted by Kenyon, and the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State.
