Box Score St. Louis, Mo.- The No. 1 Denison men's tennis team made the trip out west to St. Louis to take on Washington University in a nationally-ranked battle, and the Big Red came out on top in a persistent 4-3 win. The Big Red picked up 4 four wins in singles to take home the win. The Big Red improved to 3-0, while the Bears dropped to 1-1.

Doubles:
In doubles play the Big Red found themselves down 1-0, after Kael Shah and Ethan Green went toe-to-toe with Colin Fox and Jeremy Sieben of WashU before falling 7-5. The Big Red would pick up a win and tie it back up 1-1 after Andreas Chapides and Nick Meyers defeated Case Fagan and Ethan Wu 6-4. The Bears would eventually pick up the point, as the duo of Eric Kuo and Colin Scruggs would defeat Denison's Jacob Patterson and Wesley Huang in a tightly contested 7-6 battle, where WashU would go into singles play up 1-0.

Singles:
The Big Red found a rhythm to start out singles play, as Meyers defeated Coleman Merce in two quick sets to tie things up one a piece. Patterson would follow suit with a comfortable win of his own, defeating Sieben 6-4, 6-2 to put the Big Red up 2-1. The Bears would not back down, as Scruggs defeated Green 6-3, 7-5 to even the match up, but it was Shah and Chapides who were the difference makers. Shah would take down Kuo in the No. 1 slot 6-3, 6-4 while Chapides sealed the victory in a grueling three-game set against Fagan to take a ranked road victory.
