Denison Finishes Third at Liberty League Championship

Canton, N.Y. - The Denison men's squash team has captured third place in the Liberty League Championship after defeating Haverford for the second time this season, 5-4. The Big Red were able to seal the match early with key wins in the top spots to pick up the narrow win for the first third-place finish in program history.

The top four flights proved to be the difference maker in the consolation match, as Juan Felipe Hernandez, Nathan Cukierman, Charlie Fenwick, and Alex DeLuca all picked up wins in convincing fashion. Hernandez and Cukierman were able to sweep their opponents, and Rayyan Arif capped things off in the nine spot to clinch the third place match. Two Big Red players went the distance, as Arif and Aimaan Zakaria went five sets totaling almost two hours of play. Arif battled back down 2-1 to secure the win.
