Men’s Squash Falls to Wesleyan University 5-4

Middletown, Conn. - In a match that came down to the wire, Denison fell to Wesleyan in a tight battle, going 2-1 on the weekend with wins over Haverford and Connecticut College. Wesleyan improves to 6-5, while Denison falls to 5-5.

Juan Felipe Hernandez was the first to finish out of the group, sweeping his opponent in just 25 minutes. In the three spot, Charlie Fenwick got the best of his opponent, blanking him in three-straight sets to give Denison a 2-0 advantage. Nathan Cukierman and Alex DeLuca would win their matches, as Cukierman defeated his opponent in four sets, while DeLuca claimed a sweep in the four hole. It would be Wesleyan who would get the best of Denison though, as it came down to the final match, where the Cardinals would squeak out the win.
