Men’s Squash Defeats Haverford for Third Straight Win

Middletown, Connecticut - After their winter break, the men's squash team headed out to Wesleyan University to participate in a three-day weekend round robin tournament, and they won their first match against Haverford 6-3 behind dominant play in the one, two, and three spots. Denison improves to 4-4, while Haverford falls to 2-5.

Felipe Hernandez and Charlie Fenwick got off to a hot start, defeating their opponents in straight sets in just 19 minutes in the top spot and number three slot. Nate Cukierman followed right behind with a win in the number two slot, sweeping his opponent 3-0 in just 25 minutes. Ross Falcon and Aimaan Zakaria were victorious, winning three sets just like their counterparts in the six and seven holes. The only five set match took place in the four slot, where Alex DeLuca came back down two sets to win three straight to give the Big Red their sixth win of the day and defeat Haverford 6-3.
