Box Score Kalamazoo, Mich. - In an eventful final day at the ITA Central Regional Championships, seniors
Kael Shah and
Ethan Green were placed on opposite sides of the singles bracket, and both ran the gauntlet to meet each other in the finals, and will be played in Granville to decide the champion. Shah defeated Christian Liew of Chicago and George Kosseifi of Case Western Reserve in straight sets to reach the championship match, while Green bested Paulo Pocasangre and Alejandro Gonzalez of NCAC Kenyon to reach the final stage.
Jacob Patterson and Arya Ganapathy Kallambella won the Doubles Consolation Championship, defeating Ian Turnbull and Griffin Hammond of Illinois Wesleyan 8-1 in the championship match. The duo were defeated in the round of 32 in the main doubles bracket before rattling off five straight wins to be declared champions.
The championship match between Green and Shah will be held at Denison University on October 1, at 4 pm at the Denison Tennis Courts.
