Denison Women’s Lacrosse Shines Nationally with Four All-Americans

Granville, Ohio  Denison University women's lacrosse once again proved its status as a national contender in 2025, with four student-athletes earning All-American honors from USA Lacrosse and the IWLCA, two of the sport's most prestigious organizations. Leading the way is senior defender Mary Daniel, who capped off a remarkable collegiate career by being named a two-time USA Lacrosse Division III Third Team All-American.

Daniel's latest selection highlights her as one of the nation's elite defenders and Denison's sole representative on the USA Lacrosse All-American list, which recognizes top players from 52 schools. During the 2025 season, Daniel started all 18 games she played, making her biggest impact on defense. While she contributed modestly on offense with 1 goal and 1 assist on a perfect 1.000 shooting percentage, her true strength was on the defensive end. She recorded 27 ground balls, 7 turnovers, and 20 caused turnovers, while also collecting 22 draw controls to help Denison maintain possession. Her exceptional play earned her a Preseason All-American Honorable Mention from USA Lacrosse Magazine in 2024.

In addition to Daniel's USA Lacrosse nod, Denison also celebrated three honorees in the IWLCA Division III All-American Teams:
