Senior righty Nick Falter got the start, followed by sophomore Pete Lemke, and junior Will Rettig. On the season, this trio has combined for 12 wins and 94 strikeouts. In a revolving door of pitchers, Ryan Starr, Sam Larson, and Mikey Gray slammed the door shut in the 9.0 inning victory. The staff combined for 13 strikeouts.

Following a three-run bomb by Cade Nowik and a line drive single from Jack Lutte in the fifth inning, the Big Red commanded a 9-1 lead. The Big Red would go on to tack on five more runs throughout the matchup, courtesy of RBIs from Jack Rollo, Andrew Fazio, Jake Blozy, and Erik Sundgren. Rollo capped off the night with a solo shot homer in the top of the ninth inning to seal the mercy rule victory in walkoff style.
