Granville, Ohio (May 28) - Following a historic regular season, an NCAC championship and tournament championship, and the program's first national championship, the No. 1 Denison baseball team landed six All-Americans in the annual d3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings awards. Junior Jack Lutte and senior Will Rettig were the lone players to land on both releases. Erik Sundgren earned his second consecutive All-American nod and Will Rettig picked up his second career nod. Jack Lutte, Robbie Lee, Andrew Montero, and Devin Parker picked up their first All-American awards. Head Coach Mike Deegan was named d3baseball.com Coach of the Year after leading Denison to a historic 51-3 season, and a national championship.

Lutte, a junior outfielder from Venetia, Pa., earned second-team honors in both releases after a dominant season. Lutte made starts this season in left field, at first base, and as the designated hitter. In 40 starts, the lefty has knocked 12 homers, 17 doubles, and tallied an impressive .459 batting average.

Rettig, a senior pitcher from Perrysburg, Ohio, earned third-team honors from d3baseball.com and fourth-team honors from ABCA/Rawlings thanks to an 11-0 season that saw the righty break the Denison career strikeout record. The nod marks Rettig's second career All-American status, as the righty was named fifth-team in 2024.

Sundgren, a senior outfielder from Pittsburgh, Pa., was named third-team All-American by d3baseball.com, which marks his second straight All-American season. The dynamic centerfielder has been a force in the batter's box, collecting 21 doubles and belting nine homers. To cap off his illustrious Denison career, this marks Sundgren's second straight All-American nod, as he was named first-team in 2025.

Parker, a first-year pitcher from Lewis Center, Ohio, was named fourth-team All-American by d3baseball.com as a reliever in his first season. With 17 appearances out of the bullpen, Parker delivered an impressive 1.36 ERA and recorded six saves, which earned him his first career All-American status.

Lee, a senior pitcher from Washington, D.C., was named fourth-team All-American by d3baseball.com as a starter. The righty has made 14 appearances with 12 starts and has earned a 7-0 record on the season. Through 63.1 innings, Lee has recorded 73 strikeouts en route to his first career All-American award.

Montero, a first-year pitcher from Upper Arlington, Ohio, was named fifth-team All-American by d3baseball.com as a starter in his first season. The southpaw recorded 16 strikeouts against Ohio Wesleyan to set the Denison single-game strikeout record and tallied a perfect 5-0 record over nine starts to earn his first career All-American nod.

Head Coach Mike Deegan was named Coach of the Year after completing one of the most dominant seasons in Division III baseball history. The Big Red finished 51-3, while also tying Trinity (Conn.) for most consecutive wins with 44. Denison won the NCAC Championship and Tournament Championship, while also winning their second-straight Super Regional Championship, and capping it off with a 4-3 10 inning thriller against Endicott College in the NCAA Tournament Championship to capture the program's first-ever national title. Coach Deegan also recently reached his 400th win in their victory against Oberlin College earlier this year.
