Box Score Granville, Ohio- The No. 2 Denison University men's tennis team stretched its win streak to 12, after beating the No. 8 Kenyon College 4-0 at home. The Big Red improved to 20-2 for the season and 6-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play, while the Owls dropped to 15-3, and 4-1 in conference play. 

With tonight's victory over Kenyon, head coach David Schilling recorded his 100th career win as the Denison University men's tennis coach, after just five seasons at the helm. Congratulations, Coach Schillings, for your leadership and dedication to the team!
 

The Big Red took an early lead after capturing two out of three doubles matches. On court two the duo of Colin Gramley and Jacob Patterson made quick work of their opponent, defeating the Owls 6-2. A while after on court three, Andreas Chapides and Nick Meyers outlasted their Kenyon opponents and came out on top with a score of 7-6 (9-7)

In singles play, Denison picked up three more wins to clinch the 4-0 decision. Kael Shah earned the Big Red's second win of the afternoon with a 6-0, 6-2 decision over Richil Kondapaneni on court three. On court two, Ethan Green also won in straight sets, defeating Alejandro Gonzalez 6-3, 6-1. The Final victory of the afternoon came from Jacob Patterson on court one. Patterson, who was most recently named NCAC Athlete of the week, held off Paulo Pocasangre in the first set, beating him 7-5, and by the second set cruised to a 6-1 victory to clinch the victory for Denison.

After the match, David Schilling shared, " I'm really proud of these guys today. We knew it would not be easy, and we all have a lot of respect for Kenyon. It's always a battle that can go either way, so winning with a little breathing room was really encouraging."
