Box Score Louisville, Ky- The No. 4 Denison Big Red baseball squad finished the Derby City Classic on Sunday, falling to Spalding in a 10-6 decision. The Big Red finished the weekend with a 2-1 record and moved to 7-2 overall.

Up Next: Denison will host Heidelberg University on Wednesday, March 12, in their home opener. The Big Red will host the Granville Tournament next weekend, where No. 11 Baldwin Wallace, No. 18 Adrian, and North Central will compete at Big Red Field, from Friday, March 14 to Sunday, March 16.

Game 3: (Denison 6, Spalding 10)
The Big Red racked up 13 hits but came up short after a late rally attempt. Senior outfielder Eric Colaco mashed a solo home run in the fourth inning to even up the score at 4-4. The Golden Eagles tacked on six runs over the next two innings. Erik Sundgren and Andrew Fazio knocked in a pair of RBIs but it was not enough to close the gap.

The Big Red bullpen showed six arms today. They sat down four via strikeout and walked seven.
