Gambier, Ohio- The Denison men's swimming and diving team swam with purpose at the Kenyon Fast Chance Invitational, recording lifetime bests, and shaving qualifying times ahead of the NCAA Division III Championships in Greensboro, N.C. Among the highlights for the Big Red were
Tyler Distenfeld who improved his 1650-yard freestyle lifetime best time by 13 seconds,
Christian Narcelles recorded a 200-yard buttefly "B" cut and a personal best time. Teammate
Daniel Garza swam personal bests in his 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes, while
Harry Parsons recorded a lifetime best in the 100-yard freestyle.
NCAA Division III National "B" cuts:
- Tyler Distenfeld finished first in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 15:26.51; national ranking 4th
- Christian Narcelles finished second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:49.72; national ranking- 33rd
- Liam Nelson swam the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing third with a time of 54.99; national ranking- 22nd
- Max Soja took first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:48.69; national ranking- 9th
