Granville, Ohio– The Denison women's swimming and diving team closed out the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships with a series of standout performances, securing a second-place overall finish with 1,929 points. The Big Red added multiple NCAA "B" cut times and top finishes on the final day of competition.
Quinn Brown reached the podium once again, earning third place in the 1650 freestyle with an NCAA "B" cut time of 16:53.60.
Phoebe Ferguson continued her strong meet with a silver medal finish in the 100 IM, touching the wall at 56.27.
Denison dominated the 200 backstroke, securing a 1-2 finish as freshman
Caroline Ramirez won the event in 2:00.94, followed by
Jassy Park in 2:03.03. Both swimmers hit NCAA "B" cut times. The 100 freestyle also saw a Denison sweep at the top, with seniors
Grace Kadlecik (50.80) and
Avery Vogen (51.15) finishing first and second, respectively.
In the 200 breaststroke,
Drue Thielking took second place with a NCAA "B" cut time of 2:13.05. The 200 butterfly saw another dominant showing from the Big Red, as
Emily Harris (2:00.71) and
Emma Pritchett (2:02.86) went 1-2, both with NCAA "B" cut times.
To close out the night, the relay team of Ferguson, Kadlecik, Vogen, and Harris nearly captured the title in the 400 freestyle relay, finishing second with an NCAA "B" cut time of 3:21.66.
