Granville, Ohio (Jan. 20) – Denison squash standouts junior Juan Felipe Hernandez and first year Charlotte Jones were recognized as the Liberty League Squash Performers of the Week for their outstanding performances during the weekend.
Hernandez earned Liberty League Men's Squash Performer of the Week honors after going undefeated at the top of the lineup. The 2023-24 First-Team All-Liberty League and All-Academic Team member demonstrated his skill, securing critical victories in both straight games and a hard-fought five-game match.
- Hernandez vs. Noah Tunis of Haverford College: 3-0 (11-6, 11-8, 11-2)
- Hernandez vs. Alejandro Moncada Gonzalez of Connecticut College: 3-2 (10-12, 7-11, 11-9, 11-4, 11-9)
- Hernandez vs. Abhinav Gupta of Wesleyan University: 3-0 (11-1, 13-11, 11-7)
This marks another accolade for Hernandez, who was previously named Liberty League Performer of the Week on November 6, 2023.
On the women's side, Charlotte Jones continued her dominance at the No. 1 spot, going undefeated with three straight-game victories. Jones' stellar performance earned her a second career Liberty League Women's Squash Performer of the Week honor, following her first recognition on December 9, 2024.
