GAMBIER, Ohio (February 23, 2024) – The No. 1 Denison University women' swimming team took on the first-ever Kenyon First Chance Invitational in an effort to improve its qualifying marks on Friday.
Olivia Morse won the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.74 seconds while
Kacey Collis was third at 24.53 seconds.
Avery Vogen won the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.15 seconds while Morse was third at 52.36 seconds.
Lucy Hardart won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:01.52.
Lauren Richner won the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.92 seconds and
Haley Thier won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:23.25.
Amber Croonquist (56.97) was fourth in the 100 butterfly while
Caroline Cavalier (57.60) was sixth; and in the 200 butterfly,
Nikki Barnas (2:07.18) was first,
Maria Mrosko (2:07.81) was second and
Kayla Tehrani (2:09.65) was third.
Erika Schraber (4:32.54) was fourth in the 400 IM.
After hosting the first-ever First Chance Invitational today, Kenyon will host its annual Fast Chance Invitational starting at 12 p.m. tomorrow (Feb. 24).
