ST. LOUIS, Mo. (September 24, 2023) – The Denison University women's tennis team finished up its 2023 Fall schedule at the ITA Central Regional Championships held at Washington University in St. Louis this past weekend.

Dasha Chistyakova and Peyton Oda both advanced to the round of 32 in the ITA singles bracket as Chistyakova defeated Wynne Aldrich (Rose-Hulman) 6-1, 6-0 and Oda defeated Caroline Sproule (Wittenberg) 6-4, 6-3 in the first round.

Denison's furthest advancing player on day one was Kendall Schrader, who defeated Cassady Shough (Otterbein) by a score of 6-1, 6-1 to advance to the semifinals of the Green draw.

Ariana Rodriguez advanced to the quarterfinals of the Red draw with an 8-3 victory over Kylie Chitwood (Webster) while Caroline Kittle advanced to the quarterfinals of the Yellow draw with an 8-2 win over Lauren Dell'Acqua (Kenyon).

In the doubles main draw, the duo of Caroline Lopez and Oda advanced to the round of 16 with an 8-1 victory over Valerie Doherty/Katie King (DePauw) before falling 8-0 to Rena Lin/Oliwia Mikos (Chicago) in the semifinals. In addition, Kittle and Rodriguez defeated Payne Kensington/Anastasia Bozovic (North Central) 8-4 in the first round.

Lastly, in the doubles back draw, Schrader and Chistyakova earned a pair of 8-6 wins over Amanda Lopykinski/Sullivan Moran (Hope) and Maria Hayes/Ally Rassenfoss (Transylvania) in the first round and the round of 16 before seeing their quarterfinal match canceled.
