Grant Larson of the Denison University men's lacrosse team have each been named as United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Honorable Mention All-Americans.
In addition to earning Honorable Mention All-American accolades by the USILA, Darrach was also named a Second-Team All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine and was First-Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference. He started in all 21 games in goal this season and was 17-4 with 203 saves and 164 goals allowed on 630 total shots faced. He finished the year with a .553 save percentage and an 8.51 goals-against average, and was sixth on the team with 41 groundballs. In all of NCAA Division III, Darrach was 14th in goals-against average. He made double-digit saves 11 times this season and had a .500 or better save percentage in all but five games. He was named to the USILA Team of the Week after finishing with a career-high 19 saves during Denison's 15-5 season-opening win at Baldwin Wallace University (Feb. 18). He was also named the NCAC Athlete of the Week twice this season, with the first time coming after a 10-9 upset win over No. 2-ranked Gettysburg College (Mar. 18) when he made 15 saves, five of which came in the final period. His second athlete of the week recognition this year came after he finished with 13 saves in a big 11-5 win over rival Ohio Wesleyan University (Apr. 15). For his career at Denison, Darrach ranks 10th in program history in saves (364).
Fisher earns his second-career Honorable Mention All-American certificate from the USILA (2021) after also claiming his second-career NCAC Offensive Player of the Year award this season. Fisher also earned his third All-NCAC certificate this spring after previously claiming second-team laurels in 2022 and first-team honors in 2021. Fisher started in each of his 19 games played this season and led the Big Red with 42 goals, 52 assists and 94 points. He has also added 35 groundballs and five caused turnovers. He scored three or more goals in a game eight times this season and dished out three or more assists in a game 12 times. He had 10 games with five or more points and was named to the USILA Team of the Week after totaling eight points in a 23-9 victory over Grove City College (Mar. 22) and then racking up career-highs with seven assists and nine points in a 20-7 home win over Wittenberg University (Mar. 25). In all of NCAA Division III, Fisher ranked 20th in assists per game (2.74) and was tied for 36th in points per game (4.95).
Crowley earns his second-straight Honorable Mention All-American certificate from the USILA after also taking home his second-straight first-team all-conference recognition this past season. Crowley started in all 20 games he played in this season and ranked second on the team with 21 caused turnovers. He has also added career-highs with 33 groundballs and three goals this season, and had six games with at least two caused turnovers.
O'Neill is an All-American for the first time after earning his second-straight first-team all-conference recognition this season. He played in 20 games this season and ranked third on the team with a career-high 18 caused turnovers. He has also added 32 groundballs and had one goal and one assist that he recorded in a 21-13 home win over Albion College (Apr. 23). He had five games with at least two caused turnovers and 10 games with at least two groundballs.
Larson earns All-American status as a freshman after playing in all 21 games this season and finishing a combined 238-for-342 on faceoffs (.696 percent). He also added seven goals and three assists and led the Big Red with 155 groundballs. He recorded 10 or more faceoff wins 15 times this season, and reached double-digits in groundballs six times. He had a career-high 19 faceoff wins and 13 groundballs against Grove City (Mar. 22) and was named to the USILA Team of the Week for his efforts. In all of NCAA Division III, Larson was ranked No. 6 in faceoff winning percentage.
This makes it 146 USILA All-Americans from Denison men's lacrosse since 1960.
