Caroline O’Dea named Honorable Mention All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine

GRANVILLE, Ohio (May 12, 2023) – Denison University women's lacrosse senior goalkeeper Caroline O'Dea has been named a 2023 Division III Honorable Mention All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine.

O'Dea was also named Third-Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference this season after starting all 19 games in goal and accumulating 163 saves and 197 goals allowed on 491 shots faced so far this season. She has posted a .453 save percentage and an 11.95 goals-against average and leads the Big Red with 39 groundballs.

O'Dea was also named the IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week and the NCAC Tournament MVP after finishing with 13 saves and a .619 save percentage in a 14-8 title win over undefeated No. 21-ranked Kenyon College (May 6).

In addition to earning her first-career all-conference recognition as a senior, O'Dea is now a two-time NCAC Tournament MVP (2021, 2023) and is a three-time member of the NCAC All-Tournament Team (2021, 2022, 2023).

Heading into the first round of the NCAA Tournament later today, O'Dea's 163 saves are tied for 35th in all of NCAA Division III.

The Big Red women's lacrosse team is set to take on Hope College today (Friday, May 12) in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament.
