GRANVILLE, Ohio (March 7, 2023) – The Central Collegiate Fencing Conference (CCFC) announced its all-conference selections this week and Denison University women's fencing scored big in a conference boasting Division I powerhouses such as No. 5 Northwestern University and No. 6 Ohio State University.
Three Big Red fencers were named second-team all-conference. Freshman
Velma Hall was the sole foil fencer with a 74-20 record and a seventh-place finish at the conference championships. She ended the regular season as the highest ranked Division III foilist in the country.

Tessy Udoh was named to second-team all-conference with a 60-47 record and a ninth-place finish at the championships. Freshman
Natalie Isberg was also named second-team all-conference with a 49-25 record and a 14th-place finish at the championships. Finally, freshman
Delaney Brown was named honorable mention all-conference with a 53-36 record and an 11th-place finish at the championships.
"Scoring four all-conference selections in a conference primarily made up of Division I teams and especially with such strong and deep teams as Ohio State and Northwestern is an incredible accomplishment for these young women," said Head Coach
Peter Grandbois. "They beat out many fencers from these powerful programs to get this."
The four fencers named above will be back in action along with seven other Big Red Fencers at NCAA Regionals this coming weekend at Northwestern University's Welsh-Ryan Arena on Saturday, March 11.
