GRANVILLE, Ohio (March 29, 2023) – The No. 14 Denison University men's tennis team played its first North Coast Athletic Conference match of the 2023 season on Wednesday evening and came away with a 7-2 win over rival and No. 17-ranked Kenyon College inside the Mitchell Fieldhouse.

- Then in singles, Andreas Chapides won 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 4 singles to give Denison a 4-0 lead.
- Harms fell in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, at the No. 3 spot as Kenyon got on the scoreboard down 4-1.
- Jacob Patterson clinched the match with a 7-6 (7-0), 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles.
- Bulger pulled out a three-set win at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), and Green rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win in the six hole.
Records:
- In addition to improving to 14-2 overall on the season and 1-0 in the NCAC, No. 14 Denison also moved to 5-0 at home while No. 17 Kenyon fell to 5-9 overall, 0-1 in the conference and 2-7 against fellow nationally-ranked teams. The Big Red, conversely, are now 3-2 against nationally-ranked opponents.
Next Up: It is a busy week for the Big Red, who will be put to the test in their next matchup as Denison takes on a team ranked No. 1 in the country for the second time this season. This time it will be Denison vs. No. 1 Case Western Reserve University in neutral-court action starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 31, at the Aspen Racquet Club in Wooster, Ohio.
