ATLANTA, Ga. (March 17, 2023) – The No. 10 Denison University men's tennis team closed out its week of Spring Break action with a tough matchup at No. 8 Emory University on Friday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia, but in the end, the Big Red fell by a score of 6-3.

Singles
- Down 3-1, Marc-Lennart Harms tried to get the Big Red their first singles win but fell short in a second-set tiebreak, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3), against Nolan Shah at No. 2 singles.
- Jacob Patterson won his first set 6-4 at No. 3 singles before ultimately falling 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 against Dean Kamenev.
- At No. 1 singles, Jack Bulger earned a 6-2 win in the second set to force a third before falling 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 against Esses.
- With the match wrapped up for the Eagles, Andreas Chapides won 6-1, 6-4 over Emilio Van Cotthem at No. 6 singles while Andy Mackler defeated Brandon Cohen 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) at No. 5 singles.

- It was the first meeting between Denison (12-2 overall) and Emory (9-2) since 2011 in Atlanta.

Next Up: Denison will continue its stretch of four straight matches against fellow nationally-ranked teams as the Big Red return to Ohio for a neutral-court matchup against No. 27 Carnegie Mellon University at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, in Boardman, Ohio. After that will be a home match against North Coast Athletic Conference rival and No. 23-ranked Kenyon College at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29.
