CANTON, N.Y. (February 5, 2023) – The No. 33 Denison University men's squash team fell 8-1 to No. 21 Hobart College in the third-place match of the 2023 Liberty League Championship. It was the first appearance at the Liberty League Championship for the Big Red.

Denison's lone win came from Tarun Mammen with a 3-2 (6-11, 11-7, 2-11, 11-9, 11-9) decision at the No. 2 seed.

No. 1-seeded Juan Felipe Hernandez and No. 3-seeded Huma Bekhiet both battled to five sets in their respective matches while Rayan Dar came up just two points short of forcing a fifth set at the No. 5 seed.

With a current record of 5-8, the Big Red will now prep for the start of the College Squash Association National Championships, scheduled for February 24-26 at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
