GRANVILLE, Ohio (February 18, 2022) – The No. 34 Denison University men's squash team played at home in its final regular-season match of the 2022-23 season and earned a 7-0 victory over Ohio State University.
Juan Felipe Hernandez (No. 1 seed),
Huma Bekhiet (No. 3 seed),
Lucas Piller (No. 4 seed) and
Joao Victor Barbosa Gomes (No. 5 seed) each held their opponents to 10 points or less en route to 3-0 wins.
Meanwhile, senior
James Maher made his first appearance since November 18 and earned a 3-0 (11-7, 11-8, 11-8) win at the No. 7 seed.
Denison concludes its 2022-23 regular season with a record of 6-8, and with the postseason up next, the Big Red will continue their prep for the start of the College Squash Association National Championships, scheduled for February 24-26 at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
