CLEVELAND, Ohio (April 2, 2022) – Only one day after suffering a tough 5-4 loss against No. 28 Christopher Newport University in neutral court action, the No. 29 Denison University women's tennis team returned to action in Cleveland, but suffered their second loss in a row against a fellow nationally-ranked team as No. 12 nationally-ranked Case Western Reserve University defeated the Big Red by a final score of 8-1.

- Sydney Cianciola fell 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and Sarah Robertson lost 7-5, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
- Brual fell 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles, and none of the other matches saw the Big Red win more than one game in a set.
Records:
- No. 29 Denison fell to 8-4 overall and suffered its first road loss of the season at 2-1 while No. 12 Case Western Reserve improved to 15-1 with the win on its Senior Day.
Next Up: Denison will play its final two North Coast Athletic Conference West Division matches of the season this week as the Big Red host Wittenberg University at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, before traveling to DePauw University for a 10 a.m. showdown on Saturday, April 9.
DePauw is currently the only team in the NCAC with a 2-0 record in conference play. Denison, meanwhile, is 1-0 in the NCAC West Division after defeating Ohio Wesleyan University 8-1 on the road back on March 22.
