GRANVILLE, Ohio (April 22, 2022) – The No. 13 Denison University men's tennis team kicked off the 2022 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament with a 5-0 sweep over Allegheny College on Friday at the Denison Tennis Courts. With his win in doubles,
Tim Cianciola now becomes the new Denison single-season record holder in doubles wins with 24.

Doubles
- Denison cruised through the doubles matches in less than a half hour as both the pairs of Andy Mackler and Colin Gramley (No. 1 doubles) and Marc-Lennart Harms and Blake Eason (No. 2 doubles) won without dropping a game, 8-0.
- At No. 3 doubles, Tim Cianciola and Archie Turner were victorious by a score of 8-2.
- Mackler's doubles win gives him 23 on the season, tying the previous Denison single-season record that was broke by Cianciola.
Singles
- With his 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles, Harms extended his new Denison single-season record to 23 wins after breaking the previous record of 21 during Denison's regular-season finale on Sunday.
- The final match to finish was a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles for Daniel Garcia.
Team Records:
- No. 13 Denison (20-3) is 22-0 against Allegheny (8-10) since 2005 and is 45-1 all-time against the Gators.
Next Up: Denison will host the College of Wooster in the NCAC semifinals starting at 11 a.m. tomorrow (April 23). The other semifinal match will feature Kenyon vs. DePauw.
