GREENCASTLE, Ind. (April 10, 2022) – For the second time in two seasons under the leadership of Head Coach
David Schilling and for the fourth full season in a row, the No. 13 Denison University men's tennis team clinched its division title with an undefeated record. This time, the Big Red defeated DePauw University 8-1 to finish 4-0 and win the NCAC West for the third time in five years (2020 was COVID year; 2021 they won the NCAC East).

- Ryan Patrick won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4 singles before Macker wn 6-1, 6-1 in the five spot to clinch the division title.
- Bulger won 7-5, 6-3 in the No. 3 position while Daniel Garcia was a 6-3, 6-2 winner at No. 6 singles.
- Cianciola had to grind out a three-set win in the top spot, winning 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7) to make it 8-0 Big Red before Harms fell 6-3, 7-6 (7-1) at No. 2 singles.

- The win boosted the No. 13 Big Red to 17-1 overall and 4-0 in the NCAC West while the Tigers dropped to 10-7 and 2-1 in the conference division.

Next Up: With the NCAC Tournament set for April 22-24 in Granville, Ohio, Denison still has five matches remaining on its regular-season schedule. The next three, however, are all against nationally-ranked teams, beginning in just two days at No. 25 Kenyon College at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, in Gambier, Ohio. Then next weekend, the Big Red will take on two of the best teams in NCAA Division III in the form of No. 6 Washington University in St. Louis (April 15) and No. 2 the University of Chicago (April 16).
