NEW ORLEANS, La. (March 9, 2022) – All-Region honorees for the 2022 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), and Denison University's
Catelyn Gagnier (pole vault),
Anaya Jolivette (60 meter dash), and
Jacob Brown (heptathlon) were each recognized as All-Great Lakes Region performers.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.
Gagnier cleared a new Denison school record height of 3.49 meters in the pole vault at the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship to claim third place and earn her first career all-conference honor as a freshman.
Jolivette, meanwhile, won the NCAC 60 meter dash finals with a personal record time of 7.80 seconds to claim her first of two conference titles as a freshman. Jolivette is now tied for second on Denison's top-10 list for the event in indoor track & field.
Lastly, Brown broke his own school record and was second in the heptathlon at the NCAC Combined Events Championships with 4,327 points. Brown had previously broken Denison's school record in the event earlier in the month with 4,226 points to win the All-Ohio Indoor Track & Field Combined Events Championships.
