DELAWARE, Ohio (March 22, 2022) – The No. 20 Denison University women's tennis team played its first North Coast Athletic Conference West Division match of the 2022 season on Tuesday, coming away with an 8-1 victory on the road at Ohio Wesleyan University.
 
Notable Results:
Doubles

• Denison swept the doubles action as Monique Brual and Sarah Robertson were victorious 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, Susan Biederstedt and Hannah Bradvica rolled to an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles, and Caroline Lopez and Kendall Schrader won 8-2 in the two spot.

Singles

• Elizabeth Hoo then opened up singles action with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles before the clinching point came from Brual, who won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
• Bradvica won 6-0, 6-1 at the three spot before the final two singles matches saw Robertson win 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and Lopez win 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles to finish it off.

 
Records:

• No. 20 Denison improves to 8-2 on the season and 1-0 in the NCAC West Division while Ohio Wesleyan drops to 4-8 overall and finishes 0-3 in the NCAC West. Additionally, the Big Red have now won 34 straight matches against the Battling Bishops since the 1996 season, and are 52-4 all-time against OWU.

 
Next Up: Next up for Denison will be a pair of back-to-back nonconference matches in Cleveland, Ohio, on back-to-back days as the Big Red battle No. 29 Christopher Newport University at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, followed by No. 17 Case Western Reserve University at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 3.
