GRANVILLE, Ohio (February 26, 2022) – In a matchup between two of the top-12 ranked teams in NCAA Division III women's tennis, No. 12 Denison University came up short against No. 10 Southwestern University, falling by a final score of 7-2 on Saturday on Denison's indoor tennis courts inside the Mitchell Fieldhouse.

Doubles
- Sarah Robertson and Sydney Cianciola (No. 1 doubles) won the final doubles match to finish by a score of 8-6, but unfortunately that would be the only win of the day for the Big Red until the very last singles match to finish.
Singles
- Monique Brual (No. 2 singles) gave it a good effort in the first singles match to finish, but fell 6-2, 6-3.
- Kendall Schrader (No. 5 singles) earned the Big Red's lone singles win of the day with a score of 6-3, 6-3.

- No. 12 Denison suffers its first loss of 2022 and falls to 1-1 while No. 10 Southwestern improved to 2-3.
- Each of the Pirates' first three losses of the season came against NCAA Division I or Division II teams.
