Box Score Gambier Ohio- The Denison Women's Tennis team hit the road this past weekend to NCAC foe Kenyon College for the Kenyon Invite, which included Case Western Reserve University and Carnegie Mellon for the two-day event.

Day One

The Big Red faced some elite competition, as they started off with Case Western Reserve, falling in their only doubles match before splitting the singles matches 2-2, all in straight sets. Denison would struggle against Carnegie Mellon, who advanced all the way to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 last season, and would lose all of their matches except their doubles bout. The final team was against NCAC rival Kenyon, and the Big Red would be swept in all five of their singles matches. Carter Nye had an impressive first day, winning her doubles and singles match against Case Western Reserve.

Day Two

Day two would present more doubles matches than singles, and the Big Red would play most of their matches against Case Western Reserve, winning one out of the five doubles matches and one out of the three in the singles. Only two singles matches were played between the Tartans and Denison, as Carnegie Mellon took both of those in straight sets. Going up against Kenyon, the Big Red took one out of the three doubles matches before getting swept in the two singles matches. Sophomore Caitlin Van Winkle had a solid weekend, going 2-1 in doubles play.
