PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (February 19, 2022) – The No. 33 Denison University men's squash team rebounded from two losses during day one of the College Squash Association National Collegiate Men's Team Championship with a 6-3 win over No. 41 Fordham University during the Conroy Cup playoff rounds on Saturday.
Denison earned 3-0 wins at each of the top five seeds courtesy of
Tarun Mammen,
Abdallah Bekhiet,
Lucas Piller,
Mario Reifschneider and
Joao Victor Barbosa Gomes. In addition,
Michael Chin-Lee pulled out a four-set win in the No. 7 spot after taking the fourth set by a score of 13-11.
Denison improved to 4-9 with the win while Fordham fell to 9-15 with a 5-4 loss against No. 37 Vassar College as well, which will be the Big Red's next opponent at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 20.
