GRANVILLE, Ohio (February 13, 2022) – The No. 21 Denison University men's tennis team kicked off its 2022 season with a pair of 9-0 sweeps over No. 29 Washington & Lee University and North Coast Athletic Conference West Division foe Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday, February 12, on Denison's indoor tennis courts inside the Mitchell Fieldhouse.

Singles
- Denison also swept the singles competition, taking all six matches in straight sets.
- Mackler won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, and then Cianciola won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles to clinch the victory.
- The Big Red rounded out the sweep as Harms won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 4 singles, Bulger won 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2 singles, Daniel Garcia won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6 singles, and Ryan Patrick won the final match 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.

- Harms was victorious 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Gramely won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles to clinch Denison's victory in its NCAC West Division opener.
- The wins continued for the Big Red as Bulger won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, Gonela won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles, Joseph Boyle won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles, and Eason won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

- No. 21 Denison improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the NCAC West Division.
- No. 29 Washington & Lee drops to 0-2 overall.
- Ohio Wesleyan falls to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the NCAC West. Denison is now 48-0 against OWU since the 1983 season.
