CARLISLE, Pa. (December 3, 2022) – In a matchup featuring two teams ranked in the top-30 of the 2022-2023 College Squash Team Rankings, the No. 30-ranked Denison University men's squash team fell 8-1 at No. 28 Dickinson College on Saturday at the Kline Center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
After dropping his first set,
Ross Falcon battled back to earn Denison's lone win of the match with a 3-1 (6-11, 12-10, 11-9, 11-2) victory featuring a pair of close two-point wins at the No. 4 seed.
At the No. 2 seed,
Tarun Mammen battled hard and won his second set 11-6 to tie it up at 1-1 before dropping the third set by a tiebreaker score of 12-10 and the third set by a close score of 11-9.
At the No. 3 seed,
Huma Bekhiet fell 3-1 (13-11, 13-15, 13-11, 11-4) in a back-and-forth first three sets.
In the end, Denison dropped to 2-3 on the season while Dickinson picked up its first win at 1-3.
Next up, Denison will remain at Dickinson to battle No. 29 Haverford College in a neutral match starting at 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 4.
